Terms & Conditions – The Girl Code

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, event participation, and community membership. By accessing our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to:

• Participation in The Girl Code community groups (online and offline).
• Collaborations with partners or service providers in connection with our events.

2. Services Provided

The Girl Code offers:

• Organization of events, workshops, afterworks, and social activities.
• Access to community chat groups (“Community Chats”).
• Optional partnerships with third-party venues, teachers, coaches, and brands.
• Possible membership models with additional benefits (discounts, perks, or exclusive events).

We reserve the right to adapt, expand, or modify our services at any time.

3. Registration & Tickets

• Event participation requires prior registration and ticket purchase through our official platform (e.g. Luma).
• Tickets are issued in the purchaser’s name and are non-transferable unless otherwise stated.
• Limited spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Access to events without a valid ticket is not permitted.

4. Prices & Payment

• All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) unless otherwise noted.
• Payment is processed securely via third-party providers (e.g. Stripe).
• We are not responsible for technical errors, payment rejections, or interruptions caused by third parties.

5. Cancellations, Refunds & Changes

• Participant cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before the event unless otherwise stated.
• No refunds are granted for cancellations made later than 48 hours before the event or for no-shows.
• If The Girl Code cancels or reschedules an event, participants will receive either a refund, a coupon, or a replacement ticket.
• We reserve the right to modify event programs, speakers, or venues without prior notice, provided the overall purpose of the event remains intact.

6. Memberships (if applicable)

• Memberships may be offered on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
• Membership fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable once paid.
• Members may receive exclusive benefits, discounts, or partner perks. The availability of these benefits may change over time.
• Membership is personal and cannot be transferred.

7. Community Rules

The Girl Code community is built on respect, inclusivity, and support. Therefore:

• Disrespectful, discriminatory, or offensive behavior is strictly prohibited.
• Members must respect privacy and confidentiality within chat groups.
• Spam, promotion, or solicitation without prior approval is not allowed.
• The Girl Code reserves the right to remove participants who breach these rules, without refund.

8. Collaborations & Partners

• Events may involve external partners (e.g. wellness teachers, venues, beauty brands).
• The Girl Code carefully selects partners but is not liable for their independent services or actions.
• Any offers, discounts, or perks from partners are the responsibility of the partner, not The Girl Code.

9. Liability

• Participation in events is at your own risk.
• The Girl Code is not liable for personal injury, property loss, or damage unless caused by gross negligence or intent.
• We are not liable for the conduct of other participants or third-party service providers.
• Insurance coverage (e.g., health, travel, personal belongings) is the responsibility of each participant.

10. Intellectual Property

• All content, branding, event materials, and designs are the intellectual property of The Girl Code unless otherwise stated.
• Reproduction, distribution, or use of such content without written permission is prohibited.

11. Media (Photos & Videos)

• At events, photos or videos may be taken.
• We will always ask for consent before using any image in which you are clearly identifiable.
• If you do not wish to appear, please inform us at the event.
• Group or background photos where individuals are not the main subject may still be used for documentation and promotion.

Special rule for Mom & Baby / Mom & Kids events:

• As a general principle, The Girl Code does not take photos or videos during these events, and in particular, we do not photograph or film children.
• In the exceptional case that a child is visible in a photo or video, we will first obtain the explicit consent of the parent or legal guardian before using any material in which the child is clearly identifiable.
• Without such consent, no images of children will be used in our promotional or marketing materials.

12. Amendments

We may revise these Terms at any time. The latest version is always available on our website. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by Swiss law.

The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Geneva, Switzerland.
